There was an unspoken expectancy to have a family member shoot our wedding photos. Not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings and thinking we could save a couple of thousand dollars, we had him as our wedding photographer. I don't have happy memories of my wedding. It was chaotic & rushed. Crazy in-laws were telling me I should feel lucky to be "allowed in the family"...
Fast forward to the maternity session with our first child. Determined not to make the same mistake twice, I hired a professional. My maternity experience was all too familiar (sans the crazy in-laws). The photographer did not communicate with us or offer any direction. She even laughed at us at one point. I look at those images with the same dread as my wedding photos. Neither set of pictures are on display ANYWHERE in my home. Can you guess why?
I thought to myself, "There has to be a better way..."
The experience in both of these significant life events was horrible. Being met with nothing but disappointment, I thought to myself, "There has to be a better way..." So, I set out on my journey to become the photographer I always wanted to hire. I became the wedding photographer who protects the bride & groom from crazy family members. I became a photographer who develops relationships and gives people the experiences that I once craved.
I set out to become the photographer that I always wanted to hire...
My journey as a photographer has led me to become someone who believes in bending tradition to create something new. My personal experiences fuel my passion for making sure your experiences are everything you have ever dreamed they could be!
